Last week I was lucky enough to complete a Final Cut Pro editing course at Soho Editors Training for which I received funding from SkillSet. Skillset provides money for freelances to train and to various companies for films etc. It was an absolutely brilliant course! Five days of editing fun, although I have to say I have a new found respect for Editors. I always knew it was hard but learning what I did made me realize that it takes years and years of hard work and practice everyday to become an Editor as good as people like Mike Holliday! The guy who trained us was really cool, Paddy Bird (I love that name!) and seemed to absolutely love teaching which made even varying db levels fun!

So having bought Final Cut Express (the cheaper version) I intend to edit everything and anything I can get my hands on to keep up the practice. Oh and on the last day I passed my Level One Certificate, whatever that means!
